For the last week, I’ve been admiring a very sassy and selfish Rose-breasted Grosbeak. He sounds a bit like a Robin who’s had voice lessons. Very lyrical. Actually a member of the cardinal family, he seems to look down on his redneck cousins. I thought the crown fit him nicely.
